2026 Inspiring Hope WalkOlive's Pack

Last year, we lost Olive to splenic hemangiosarcoma. The six and a half years we got with her will never feel long enough, but we're so lucky that we got to love her. She made us smile every single day.

Olive never passed up an opportunity to chase the critters outside. She loved hopping into the car and breathing loudly right next to the driver's ear. Every morning she'd woo down the stairs, and every doorbell on the TV made her growl. We still grumble when we hear a doorbell. Whenever there was fresh snow on the ground, chaos ensued and suddenly chasing her brother Mackie became her favorite game. I'm still not sure whether she liked the sweater we got her for the colder months, but she looked so cute in it.

She had the softest bald spot on her belly from lounging and being a couch potato. Our little sploot queen. And when she was excited, her tail would whip you in the shins if you were standing too close.

We’re walking to support families affected by cancer. Although we chose not to do chemotherapy for Olive, we were so touched by the support offered to us by Czar’s Promise. We want to make sure that families can be comforted the way we were and supported when it’s needed the most.

We’re walking for Olive and hoping that one day we’ll have a cure. No human or animal should ever have to experience cancer.

We love you, babygirl. Every day (and twice on the weekends).
