Vinny’s fight against cancer began in August 2024, when he was diagnosed with thymic carcinoma. Veterinarians discovered an enormous mass in his chest measuring 22 centimeters and weighing approximately nine pounds. Vinny underwent major surgery to remove the mass, followed by intravenous chemotherapy.
Through it all, Vinny proved that he is a true fighter. He recovered remarkably well from surgery and handled his chemotherapy treatments like a champion.
Unfortunately, in November 2025, tests showed evidence that Vinny’s cancer was returning. He began oral chemotherapy in December 2025, but it was not powerful enough to keep those nasty cancer cells away. Vinny continues to fight and will soon undergo radiation therapy to target the regrowing mass. His treatments begin August 24, 2026, and we expect him to be fully recovered and ready for this incredible event!
