Kevin’s Chance
Kevin was a foster fail. We got this young pup with all his quirks and unknown background and he just fit our family. Just a couple years later, we got the devastating news that he had lymphoma. What should we do?! This cancer isn't something we can beat... we can treat it, and hope for more time with our boy, but we know it will more than likely come back. We felt it was so unfair that this young pup, who didn't get the loving family he deserved during his first year of life, would have his time cut short with us. We needed to give him a chance to experience as much love with us as we could, and decided to treat his cancer. This is not a decision to be taken lightly, and the support of Czars Promise has been our village to persevere through this cancer journey. We are so grateful for this organization's love and support. At the time of diagnosis, we were told we could anticipate about a year with our boy before that ugly cancer would be back with a vengeance. Here's the good news: it has now been over TWO years since diagnosis, we had one small lapse out of remission, but we beat cancer once again, and are happy to say he is currently in remission!! We owe so many thanks to Czars Promise, and we will be walking for our boy October 13th. We would love to help Czars Promise continue to support families like us, with donations to our Kevin's walk. No amount is too small, every little bit helps in the fight against cancer.
