For the Love of Lyla & Avett
In addition to all of the my beloved dog friends and relatives who we have lost, this year I walk for my "niece" Lyla who was diagnosed with an anal gland adenocarcinoma and recently passed away. Auntie will always love you girl and thanks you for teaching her so many good lessons.
Our own dog, Avett also had a spot removed on his lower lip that turned out to be a melanoma. Thankfully the vet believes it's all been removed and just to monitor for any new growths or changes. His story is a reminder to check over your pets and ask questions when you find anything unusual. We are so grateful to have caught it early and taken him to the vet to have the spot evaluated.
