Do It for Milo
In November of 2016 my very best friend was diagnosed with Mast Cell cancer. They gave him 3-6 months and he was just 7 years old. My world was shattered. This handsome, loving, adventerous boy was my whole heart. We started him on chemo and he thrived! You would never have known that he was undergoing cancer treatment. And because of that treatment, Milo and I got to spend another 7 YEARS together.
Milo and I were lucky; not only did I have pet insurance that helped with the cost but I had a great support system to help me through that . Not everyone is as lucky and treatment can be very, very expensive. This is one of many reasons why Czar's Promise is so special to me. Not only do they help provide funding to families with companion animals going through cancer treatement, but they also provide funding for cancer research. Research that benefits both animals AND children.
I wouldn't wish this cancer journey on anyone; and my hope is that one day cancer will be a thing of the past. Until then I will donate, volunteer and help spread the word about this amazing organization and the difference they are making in the world. Every one deserves the chance at another 7 years together.
