Honoring Grace - Lost to Osteosarcoma
This is Grace, our first greyhound. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma (bone cancer) in her right front leg on September 12, 2014 and we said goodbye on June 5, 2015. This picture was taken only eight days before we lost her. The treatment protocol that spared her leg and gave her nine months of good days with us was based on research at the University of Illinois vet school. It's efforts like that one which Czar's Promise aims to fund along with other education and outreach efforts.
