2019 Czar’s Promise Dog WalkPatricia McConnell

Willie & Trisha

Willie died on April 15th of pulmonary adenocarcinoma. He was only twelve and a half years old, and just weeks before he died he was working sheep, playing tug with Maggie and running like a race horse on long walks in the woods. We moved heaven and earth to try to save him, but we couldn't.

Please join me, and the hundreds of others participating in Czar's Promise, to prevent and fight cancer in both people and dogs. Enough is enough--this is a battle we just have to win. We owe it to ourselves and to our best friends.

Jim and I will be walking in solidarity with others on Saturday May 11th, as one way to raise funds for cancer research and to support those whose loved ones are fighting it. We will be there with hearts both broken and brimming with love. Please join us anyway you can--by contributing funds of any amount, or by signing up for the walk. Willie will be there too, I just know he will.
