With all of my heart, this year's Inaugural 2019 Czar's Promise Inspiring Hope Dog Walk, is dedicated to Czar and Baby Bear Osa.

This is Czar's Promise.
Czar's Promise was founded in February, 2018, with (3) key areas of mission.
*Provide education, awareness, financial and emotional support to companion animals within our community who have been diagnosed with cancer
*Fund companion animal cancer research at UW School of Veterinary Medicine, Madison, WI
*Fund pediatric cancer research at American Family Children's Hospital, Madison, WI
Every ounce of heart and soul from so very many, has been dedicated to bring Czar's Promise to our community to help others as they travel this emotional, challenging and uncertain road of a cancer diagnosis.
Czar's Promise is inspired by Czar, my one-in-a-million Great Pyrenees, who was diagnosed with and fought osteosarcoma (bone cancer) for 19 months and who passed away on December 20, 2013. Czar's Promise represents many, many dogs in their brave and vigilant fight against this horrible disease. And Czar, a Pet Pals Animal Assisted Therapy Dog at American Family Children's Hospital in Madison, helped many children, in their own fight against cancer, during his time of service from 2005 - 2010. Dogs, cats, and kids, are diagnosed with the same types of cancer....lymphoma, leukemia, bone cancer, mast cell, skin....and this is why we need to continue research on both,...because a cure found for one species, will lead to a cure for the other.
And to the most beautiful and loving Newfoundland, Baby Bear Osa, who unexpectedly and tragically passed away on February 12, 2015 from hemangiosarcoma, a form of cancer in his lung, You, along with your brother Czar are the light that still guides me every single day in every area of life. You are the wisdom from beyond that leads and inspires Czar's Promise.
And I will forever keep The Promise, made on December 20, 2013, that I will never, ever, stop fighting to help find a cure.
